Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Devonte Anderson and Inventory Guardian handle information in connection with the Inventory Guardian Jira Cloud Forge app and related support interactions.
1. What Inventory Guardian does
Inventory Guardian is a Jira Cloud Forge application used for inventory tracking, stock adjustments, office-to-office equipment movement, alerts, reporting, forecasting, access management, and related operational workflows.
2. Information we process
Depending on how a customer uses the app, Inventory Guardian may process:
- inventory item names, quantities, categories, offices, locations, and serial numbers
- stock adjustment history, including reasons and linked Jira issue keys
- alerts, restore points, audit-style history, and app configuration chosen by administrators
- Atlassian account identifiers and display names needed to manage app access and permissions
- support contact information provided by administrators, such as an admin email address
3. Information we do not require for production operation
- Cloudflare-hosted production inventory data
- third-party analytics infrastructure by default
- customer data sharing across separate Jira installations
4. How information is used
Information is used to:
- operate the Inventory Guardian app for a specific Jira installation
- authenticate and authorize access through Atlassian and app-level role controls
- record inventory changes, support reporting, and maintain operational history
- validate linked Jira issues and improve workflow integrity for equipment transfers
- provide customer support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the app
5. Where data is stored
Production app data is stored using Atlassian-hosted Forge capabilities associated with each customer installation. Data is isolated per Forge app installation and is not shared across unrelated customer sites.
6. Jira and Atlassian platform data
Inventory Guardian runs within Atlassian’s Jira Cloud and Forge ecosystem. The app may use Jira context and Jira APIs to retrieve information such as the current user identity, theme mode, timezone, site context, Jira users, and Jira issues, subject to the scopes granted to the app and the permissions of the current user or site.
7. Access controls
Access to Inventory Guardian is governed by Atlassian identity plus app-specific authorization rules such as roles, office access, and administrative controls. Customer administrators are responsible for configuring access appropriately for their teams.
8. Data sharing
Customer data is not sold. Data is shared only as needed to operate the app, comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights and security, or provide support and maintenance.
9. Retention
Data is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, unless a customer removes the data, changes retention-related settings, or uninstalls the app.
10. Security
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures are used to protect information processed by the app. No security method is perfect, and no system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Customer data ownership
As between Devonte Anderson and the customer, customer-entered business data remains the customer’s data.
12. Children’s privacy
Inventory Guardian is intended for business and administrative use and is not directed to children.
